Rest Is Stewardship, Not Lost Productivity
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is take a break and switch off because rest is stewardship, and you're taking steps to protect the most valuable asset - you.
If your AI is working 24/7, but you're exhausted, something isn't working.
We've started to normalize the idea that productivity should be constant with AI that can work while you sleep.
Yes, some tools can run workflows overnight, generate outputs, and keep things moving while you sleep.
But we're asking the wrong question: yes, AI can keep working, but why do we feel we need it to?
We are not systems designed to run continuously. We need rest to think clearly, make good decisions, and show up well.
AI doesn't replace that, and it shouldn't try to.
We should not be doing more for the sake of it, but creating space for better work, new work.
Because productivity is only relevant if you're producing things that are actually necessary.
By all means, automate repetitive, structured tasks, admin, and organization.
But be careful when automating decision-making, context-heavy work, and anything that requires judgment.
AI can be used to extend your capacity, but it shouldn't define your pace.
