The Most Important Healthcare AI Innovations Aren't Always the Most Exciting

Inside the Global Health Forum Venture Forum: 15 Healthcare Startups Shaping the Future of Medicine

October 13, 2026•2 min read

We just wrapped the Global Health Forum Congress and a special Venture Forum this weekend at the The Yale Club of New York City, and I’m still energized. We had over 300 company applications and 15 finalists pitch live.

Saturday’s presenters took on some of medicine’s hardest problems, from moonshot RNA therapeutics and early cancer detection to cuffless blood pressure monitoring for hypertension, metabolic disease, and wearable stimulation that reduces Parkinson’s tremor.

Together with Sunday’s AI-driven companies, they showed health innovation moving out of the clinic and into everyday life, with founders building tools that catch problems earlier and make care more precise, continuous, and human.

Massive congratulations to all the participating companies that pitched over the weekend. Our Saturday presenters: Samara Khater (Nooristic), MiRNA Scientific, Inc., Smartan FitTech, Stabilis Medical, VitaWave Tech Inc., and Wink Biotherapeutics.

On Sunday BRAIV, CARA Systems Inc., CardioNex AI, Florence, HealMed Solutions, Inc., MedComm, Medlee, RegenHealth Physicians, and StrideAI took the stage.

First-place winners were Wink Biotherapeutics and Florence, while BRAIV and Stabillis medical took second place. We were thrilled to welcome back Sensible Health, our inaugural Venture Forum winner, who shared their progress as they prepare to raise a pre-seed round.

I am so bullish on building and scaling in healthcare, and it was inspiring to see our founders show up with relentless conviction and remarkable vision.

A huge thank you to our esteemed judges who lent their time, expertise, and sharp insights to the deliberations. Sava Kobilarov Kamal Singh, CFA, Anmol Goel, Anshul Debuka, Todd Hirsch, Robert Herjavec, Shashank Samant, Deborah Moorad, and Gajen Kandiah.

When we create spaces where talent meets opportunity and capital, the whole ecosystem wins. Excited to see where these companies go next.

Special shout-out to my team Niharika Shah, Gautam B., Anshul Debuka, Anish S., and Zain Raza, and all our student volunteers. Appreciation to our Global Health Forum trustees Achintya Moulick MD, MBA, MCh, Sanat Chattopadhyay, and Dr. Samin K. Sharma for their support as well.

Will be sharing more in the weeks to come; there was so much that one post isn't enough.
